2023 Annual Report

The Dr. Lucy Jones Center for Science and Society has had an active 2023, building connections and making progress on resilience building and risk reduction. Our current activities are focused on the climate crisis, working with both climate scientists and social scientists to develop approaches that create a sense of personal empowerment, that our actions can make a difference, a necessary requirement to encouraging action.

The following report is a summary of this past year’s work and provides insight on the Jones Center’s efforts regarding its three focus areas of exchanging knowledge, training and educating about disasters, and promoting resilience. As we enter the new year, the Jones Center will continue existing programs while embracing new opportunities.
